• Myah and I met Hetty when we visited Paz Y Luz in Pisac , Peru . We were looking for a place to rest and heal after a grueling trek up to Machu Picchu . Although it is a renowned trek for its many challenges it was a particularly big challenge for my daughter because Myah's cerebellum is underdeveloped and this is manifested in a reduced sense of balance and co ordination of her muscles. Myah is sixteen and has never been one to take other peoples definitions of who she is and what she should do as a guide. Instead she has always forged ahead to see what was around the next corner. Well around this particular corner we found Hetty and her healing through ThetaHealing practice. Hetty and Myah were immediately drawn to one another and when Hetty asked if she could work with Myah on some healing it seemed the natural course and that we had come through the gates of Paz Y Luz for exactly that.

Since leaving Peru a few days later Myah has been growing in confidence and her body seems to be more responsive to her nerve messaging. Myah is walking so well that a friend recently saw her and her father walking down the road and thought that it was me and how strange it was that I was walking with Myah's walking crutches, only realizing that it was Myah without her usual wide stance gait and off beat rhythm once she got close enough to see Myah's curly red hair.

Myah's speech is also affected by her underdeveloped cerebellum since the mouth and tongue are part of one of the most complex muscles groups. Hetty called help for Myah's clarity of speech during the healing sessions. Time will tell as we make our way back into our everyday lives and Myah begins to speak with other people that haven't spoken to her since before we left for Peru , but I see definite improvement. I hear the clarity, sometimes a word here and there that is just a bit clearer, sometimes a moment of calm where Myah has the confidence to pause and collect her thoughts before they get muddled into run on sentences. We keep working, everyday, and opening to the universal powers that are available for making Myah's life journey that much easier. The help we get on the way is so appreciated.

Thank you Hetty, you are a light on our journey, sent to guide Myah and to bring illumination where there was once only shadows.
